Because

someone — a writer — once said to me,
"Stop writing in that damn thing.
Every time you write in it,
I know you're ignoring your 'real' writing,"

(which isn't all true,
but accurate enough to bother me),

in 2011, I resolve to disappear
to write.

In fact, every resolution I make this year —
a maximum of 15 minutes of social media per day,
at least 8 daily hours of writing (for work & for art),
sleeping regularly, et cetera —
will support one purpose:

to write.

I sometimes spew 318 words per post here,
but I've noticed that in more recent entries,
I wax poetic until I crash at 1454 words.

1000 words multiplied by 110 blog posts (in 2010)
equals 110,000 words —
much longer than the ideal length of a debut novel.
And I don't even blog that often.

You get the idea.

We had a good 44.5-month run here.
Goodbye, my lovers.
See you at the top.

And see you here.

Cue: festive funeral music.
